Over the years, different Igbo organisations in different cities hold their annual Igbo Day Celebrations differently, at different times of the year and in different cities in Finland. But, these three aforementioned Igbo organisations decided to change this norm by agreeing to jointly unite, plan and organise this year’s Igbo Day Festival.

And they set up a joint committee comprising of four members from each of the organisations to form an “organising committee” empowered to foresee the whole process of organising the event.
